
One of the first Doctor of Physical Therapy graduates in the State of New Jersey, Dr. Legaspi opened the West Orange location in August 2004. He has been part of the A T.E.A.M. Approach family since 1994 and the St. Barnabas Medical Center since 1998. In 2008, Dr. Legaspi received the JOSPT George Davies Excellence in Clinical Inquiry Award (Dr. Legaspi is shown receiving the award from Dr. George Davies at left).
Working in both private practice and hospital settings, Dr. Legaspi has experience in many specialties of manual physical therapy and physical rehabilitation concentrating on outpatient orthopedics, cardiac rehab. and burns.
He has post education training in McKenzie Techniques for cervical and lumbar spine, Mulligan techniques for spine and extremities, Paris approach to thoracolumbar spine, medical differential diagnosis and screening, neurological pathologies, orthopedic advancements both pre and post-operatively, and Travell Myofascial/Trigger Point management.
As a Lecturer/Guest Speaker at several area Universities and colleges, Dr. Legaspi presented topics regarding orthopedics, medical screening, differential diagnosis, pharmacology, burns, and general patient care/management. He is also currently involved in clinical research with professors from UMDNJ, which are expected to be submitted for medical journal review in the near future.
Overall, Dr.Legaspi is a well-rounded clinician, teacher, and researcher focusing on the advancement of physical therapy.
